ISWA is committed to maintaining a diverse workforce of experienced practitioners who can commit to our high standards.  ISWA demands between five and ten years' post qualification experience dependent on the role. We pride ourselves on our stringent selection processes.

Due to increasing demand for our services, we wish to recruit a number of experienced social workers, who have a well evidenced portfolio of skilled practice in a specialist area. Professional consultation and support is an integral part of working for ISWA.

Individuals interested in becoming an ISWA Associate should send the following by email:

  • completed application form (downloadable from this site)
  • copy of all relevant qualifications
  • copy of social work registration certificate
  • contact details of two referees [one current employer]
  • copy of passport
  • copy of driving licence
  • copy of incorporation (or indication of intent if not yet incorporated)

Applicants should be aware that in order to maintain our standards, our selection process is extremely thorough. Applicants selected for interview are required to provide a range of supporting evidence of their work, complete a presentation and short competency test on the day.

We know that our recruitment procedures are stringent and at first sight can appear rather intimidating. However, we are looking for excellence in our practitioners and the process allows candidates to demonstrate this. Without exception, those who go through our selection procedures find the process both stimulating and affirming. To illustrate,
